SI Wigan will be laying a wreath at the Wigan Cenotaph on Sunday 13th November.  Any SI Wigan club members who are able to attend are most welcome, please meet at the Town Hall at 10.15am for the short procession from the Town Hall to Wigan Parish Church.

Are you interested in Climate Change and the effects on our lives. In October 2022 four members of SI Wigan are off on their travels to the SIGBI International Conference in Belfast where the focus is Climate for Change, which links to the UN Goals on Climate Change. The four members are looking forward to their trip meeting Soroptimists from all over the world to look at the impact of Climate Change and how we can help.

Several members of SI Wigan travelled to Southport recently to attend their 90th Charter Lunch at Hillside Golf Club. The lunch was well attended with Dorcas our Regional President and Sigbi President Maureen Maguire. SI Southport President Carol Cookson hosted the proceedings and a good time was had by all who were able to attend. SI Wigan 81st Charter Dinner

SI Wigan held their 81st Charter Dinner at Ashfield House , Standish , Wigan on Friday 6th May. President Angela Holmes is pictured here with Kathleen Moran the SI Wigan PAC Chair welcoming their guests to the Dinner. Mrs Dorcas Akeju OBE, The Regional President of Soroptimist International of South Lancashire , spoke at the Dinner in response to Mrs Kathleen Moran’s address to the club. After a splendid  meal guests were able to listen to  and dance to a special performance provided by Acoustic Jukebox.  Many guests remarked as they left that it had been a ‘ very enjoyable evening and thanks should be awarded to the organisers’.
