Subject: Christmas Tree Festival thanks
Can I thank everyone who helped to make this year’s “Festival of Christmas Trees” such a success?
Thanks to our sponsors, the people who donated trees (65 in all), the School Choirs who sang (9 in all) and the Community Choirs who sang (5 in all)
Thanks to the catering staff at St John’s Burlington who provide refreshments throughout the “Festival”
The two weekends were a great community event and altogether around 70 different groups were involved i.e. schools/uniformed organisations/churches/charities and local businesses.
I’m pleased to report that the profit for the “Festival” was £2,751-49.
That is divided 60% to St Catherine’s Hospice and 40% to Rotary local charities.
None of that would have been possible without the help and co-operation of so many people – thank you to you all.
