Meeting after 15 months!

Meeting after 15 months!

in

At our first ‘real’ meeting for fifteen months we celebrated a number of things – the pleasure of friends not seen for a long time, the celebration of President Glynis’s ‘takeover’ from President Carole, a new venue for our meetings, a buffet supper and an interesting presentation from a charity which we have supported during the last year Create Bolton. Their website explains what they do but it was a real pleasure to meet them in person.

Young Achiever Award 2020

Young Achiever Award 2020

in

We are proud to present the winner of our Young Achiever Award 2020, Caitlin Whittle. She was nominated by Youth Leader Sarah Saxon for her work with her local youth club since 2016, for her Duke of Edinburgh bronze award last year, and for her leadership with the children and families at St Peter’s Church ‘Messy Church’, all the while coping with challenging family circumstances. She is a worthy winner of the award which celebrates young women’s achievements. We wished to present Caitlin’s Trophy at our annual Charter Dinner but had to meet in Moss Bank Park where social distancing was possible – it was a pity about the rain!
