Members joined together in friendship to mark 52 years of Sisterhood for Soroptimist International Buxton and District.
Held at the Cavendish Golf Club members and their guests were treated to a delicious lunch.
Professor Christine Hallett was invited to speak and gave a fascinating talk about nursing, focusing on the First World War and highlighting the pioneers who worked to ensure the role was recognised as a profession
President Dr Mary Cooke presented long service awards and bouquets of flowers to Jackie Cowlishaw, Mavis Mycock and Sue Watson to recognise their incredible service. Between them they have achieved more than a century of service.
