November 2024 saw the start of our campaign last year to stop the violence against women and girls (VAWG).
We began with an extremely poignant presentation from Rachel Horman-Brown, award winning family solicitor,(please see Guest Speakers ) about stalking, coercive control and domestic abuse.
This year as a club we will be expanding our links with Cumberland Council and the Freedom-project-west-cumbria.org.uk – raising awareness around the challenges of Domestic abuse and VAWG. This will build on the work we’ve started with Orange cafes in the local libraries and the conversations we had with the PCC and both local MP’s.
