Lake District Mighty Hike for MacMillan Cancer Support

SI Crieff member, Carol Buchan, took part in the Lake District Mighty Hike for Macmillan Cancer Support around Ullswater.
The total raised was over £3500 including Gift Aid.
Carol was part of a team of seven who all finished. The walk was 26 miles, 3500 feet of ascent and it took just under 10 hours including 3 stops . The day was cloudy and not too hot.
Carol had to train for the event, which involved several very long training walks – longest was 23 miles around the hilly parts of Crieff and Comrie with a pit stop at Comrie Croft for cake and coffee !!!!
