We are delighted to have the privilege of being elected as your joint Presidents
for the coming year. A joint Presidency which we believe is a first for S.I.
Falkirk and personally a challenge for us even although we have both been
club President before. We’re pleased to say that SIGBI has a policy on job
share which will probably be very useful in the coming months.
We are extremely confident that we will be ably supported by the
extended team i.e. the executive and the club members.
Like many organisations we’re facing challenging times.
Change affects us all and it’s not always welcome, that’s always been the
case. Sometimes change is for the better and sometimes not, but in
recent years changes have been dramatic and have impacted on our lives
in more ways than we could ever have imagined. Things are not the same
as they used to be and priorities are different. That is why we have had
to look at our club and decide the way forward.
We believe our club has been realistic in realising that things have to
change and brave enough to break free from the safety of the familiar in
order to ensure that our club continues to grow in the future.
Our theme for the year will be
“Rise to the challenge of change”.
We’re sure this year will be a learning curve for all of us and some
adjustments will be necessary along the way to fine tune our way of
working.
It’s essential that we all work together to make this new way a success.
Let’s use our individual talents to support each other in the work of S.I.
Falkirk so that the club continue to thrive as a vibrant group
