Programme Action, our work and projects, is the cornerstone of Soroptimist International (SI)
Our work includes:
- Raising awareness of trafficking, FGM, prison reform and grooming. Lighting up local landmarks in Orange to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and raising awareness of the issue on our local Main Street.
- Awareness & Fundraising at a local gala.
- Supplying a local school with Sunflower Seeds and holding assemblies highlighting our commitment to environmental issues.
- Planting trees and erecting a commemorative plaque at a local park to mark the Centenary of Soroptimist International.
- Locally we support Joanna House, St Monica’s Housing , Tender.org and Zarach Beds for Kids .
- In the wider community we have supported Period Poverty.
- Promoting healthy and safe relationships through initiatives at Freshers’ Fairs and primary schools.
