Kori Development Project
SI Thames Valley tacked FGM in Kori village, Sierra Leone by educating the village women and empowering them to be independent and make their own decisions.
Club members supplied the women with tools and seeds, and persuaded a local Chief to donate land. Clothing, blankets, medical equipment and furniture were also donated.
The village women have become self sufficient and their children attend school. FGM is no longer practiced.
