Medway and Maidstone members enjoyed an Afternoon Tea in June at Sue Hunt’s home where we could admire her beautiful gardens.
Sue organises this event every year in aid of Jeevodaya a not-for-profit organisation in Itarsi, Central India who work with railway children. This is a cause that is dear to her heart and Sue is keen to continue supporting them.
Their mission is to uphold human dignity by working towards child rights and advocacy through a process of early intervention at the platform and provide residential support to rehabilitate and mainstream these children back into the society.
It was good for members old and new to get together and catch up for a chat, something to eat and drink on a summer’s day in such beautiful surroundings. Proceeds from the Afternoon Tea raised £150 for Jeevodaya, Itarsi.
