Work in partnership with the North Wales Women’s Centre (NWWC)

Since October 2022 we have hosted a monthly programme of events at the North Wales Women’s Centre including:

  • Developing projects that would add value to the existing range of facilities offered at the centre
  • Contribute to improving the lives of women
  • Focus on offering practical hands-on activities that are educational and enjoyable
  • Cooking and serving meals twice weekly for 8 weeks funded by the ‘Warmest Spaces’ local authority initiative
  • Celebrating Human Rights Day preceded by 16 Days of Activism – leading to monthly Orange day activities in recognition of the Elimination of Violence Against Women
  • Coffee Mornings with talks and quizzes
  • Presentation on the importance of honey bees to the environment and food chain plus candle making and honey tasting
  • Christmas card making
  • Healthy eating and apple cooking day

During the summer school holidays 2023 we provided the refreshments for themed picnics based on Super Heroes, Pirates and a Teddy Bears Picnic for 60 children.

During 16 Days of Activism (Elimination of Violence Against Women and Girls)  25th November—10th December, we delivered “One-pot Workshops”, cooking with a slow cooker.  At the end of the course participants were presented with a slow cooker.
