Although it was blowing a gale, not very warm and we lost two gazebo’s, Rugby SI had a successful day at Draycote Water raising money for Water Aid.
This is the 3rd year we have collected for Water Aid at the annual sponsored walk providing a welcome stop along the way with homemade cakes and water for the walkers.
Thanks go especially to all the staff at Draycote Water, especially Head Ranger Tom and his assistant Ian – they were brilliant as usual.
Rugby Mayor Sally Bragg started the proceedings and some of our members also joined the walk, Whilst we don’t know exactly how much we have raised just yet but we are hoping that it will be over £500.
