Rugby Soroptomist members and friends planted trees for the Soroptomist national centenary event.
As part of the Soroptimist Centenary (1921-2021), all Clubs were encouraged to plant trees, as this activity was undertaken by the very first Soroptimist Club in the USA.
We did our bit, planting trees in Yelvertoft with many different varieties, including cherry, blackthorn and whitethorn. 150 trees were planted in total.
After all the hard work the Soroptomist club members enjoyed tea and cake in the sunshine.
