We always love to hear about organisations working to improve the lives of women and girls, so it was great to meet Olivia le Poldvin and Alex Halstead from the Rugby Red Box project at our September meeting.
The Red Box project started in July, placing boxes in sites to collect sanitary items to help alleviate period poverty in schools.
Without this support, girls’ school attendance and attainment can suffer. Support helps secure education, as well as prevent health problems.
