Who are we?
We are a group of friendly women of all ages, united by our passion for improving the lives of women and children locally, nationally and internationally.
You’ll see us out and about in the community, raising money for a number of local charities as well as contributing to national and international fund raising projects. Have a look at the Club news pages – fashion shows, sponsored walks, bra banks… there’s always a lot going on!
Our local work and activities are are organised around a number of themes:
- Food, Security & Healthcare
- Violence and Conflict Resolution
- Learning opportunities
- Environment Sustainability
Rugby Soroptimist have been working with our community for over 80 years. We’re also part of a wider community – the Midland Arden Region (MAR), Soroptimist International Great Britain & Ireland (SIGBI), and Soroptimist International. So we’re part of a huge movement for positive change! Soroptimist International is the world’s largest women’s service organisation with Consultative Status at the United Nations.
Where do we meet?
Our meeting is held on the first Tuesday of every month at Rugby Hotel. We’d love to see you there! We have an informal dinner at 7pm, and the meeting begins at 8pm – people can join us at either time.
At that meeting we plan our activities, designed to make a difference.
Please contact us for a chat about whether Soroptimists might be right for you.
