Number of beneficiaries: 12 young women
This project targeted women ages 18-25 years with limited resources who were about to enter the world of work. We identified 12 young women who fulfilled these criteria and over the course of 3 weeks provided virtual training sessions on topics such as interview skills, business writing and basic etiquette. Following this, at a ‘graduation’ ceremony, participants received gently used work clothing, handbags and shoes which were donated by club members. Participants also had to fill out a survey at the end of the program to assess the impact of the program on their lives and ability to secure future jobs. This project was particularly special since it was planned and executed by potential members who were later inducted into the club.
