Usual club meetings have been cancelled across Scotland due to the coronavirus pandemic but this has not stopped clubs from staying in touch and doing their ‘bit’ to help those in need in our communities.
SI Aberdeen and SI Dundee-
have mastered the technology and members have met together across Zoom, a social media platform most of us had not heard off before lockdown. Gatherings across the internet such as this, although not the same as meeting over dinner and other club activities, have certainly meant lockdown has been tolerable. As well as business meetings, quizzes and just social ‘chit -chat’ have kept everyone connected.
SI Aberdeen completed their collection of toiletries and stationary in support of a local charity Stella’s Voice, which works with vulnerable children and young people in Moldova .
The club has been supporting the NHS through crocheting various helpful and encouraging items.
SI Dundee members have donated funds to support food banks in both Dundee and Angus.
SI Crieff have worked hard to make face masks.
Well done everyone.
Stay safe.
