SELBY SOROPTIMISTS HOST CHARITY FASHION SHOW
A very successful fashion show was held recently to raise money for the Selby branch of Dementia Forward. The event was organised jointly by Soroptimist International of Selby and the retailer, M and Co.
Held on Wednesday 10th February at the Abbey Walk branch, 50 ladies came to watch the volunteer models and enjoy a ‘private’ shopping experience. Proceeds from the evening raised £375 for this very worthy charity which helps dozens of families in the Selby area who are coping with relatives with dementia.
President Pat Griffiths, who together with several other Soroptimists, volunteers on a regular basis to help out at the Dementia Café, said “We are so grateful to the Manageress, Kelly Ann, and the staff of M and Co. for giving their time and the use of their premises to enable SI Selby to raise this money.”
