As no member of SISC lives more than 7 miles from the sea, we decided to brave the elements and swim in the sea.( Well it is July and the beginning of the School Holidays!) 6 heroic, or foolhardy, members decided to bob about in the swell of the sea at Abersoch, encouraged by non-swimming members and the thought of the excellent picnic that had been provided as a reward. For once this outdoor event was not rained off although there had been a violent thunderstorm in the early hours of the morning!
Money raised by this event will go to the Birthing In the Gambia project, which helps provide perinatal care for women and their babies in Gambia.
