Stockport Soroptimists Marilyn Westbrook and Joyce Garside, along with former member Jenny Gordon, have spent much of the lockdown sewing and assembling scrub suits, and laundry bags for the scrubs to be washed in. NHS and care sector workers who would not normally need this type of clothing have benefitted.
SI Stockport have funded the 70m of fabric required and thanks go to Steve Bamber of Bamber Sewing Machines who sold 50 of those metres at cost price.
