Attempting to widen our knowledge members were excited to get the opportunity to listen to Germaine Greer. The topics discussed ranged from postpartum psychosis (a severe mental illness that can affect a woman after she has a baby. It causes her to have hallucinations and delusional thinking ,symptoms of psychosis), institutional sexism through to the question, ‘Can women do it all?’ and encouraging us with, “I don’t want you to agree with me, I just want you to think!” Finishing with an interesting Q & A session it was disappointing that she hadn’t heard of WASPI (Women Against State Pension Inequality) – look this group up!!
