We spent £150 raised at our Christmas meal at H&M Conscious range ensure the underwear was not made in factories where women and children are exploited or kept against their will as slaves.

Sue Collins from Harbour refuge, North Shields gave a very informative presentation about the work of Harbour: supporting residents, their children and a growing amount of outreach work. Thanks were given to the WBHS Sorops who raised £360. The 20 pairs of PJ’s bought for the children to wear on Christmas Eve was acknowledged as proof that teenagers do care!
Our friend of many years, Vera accepted a cheque of £120 for Nepal Javea mainly from collecting coppers but also from the sale of club member Wilma’s friend. Thank-you.
