Our club marked International Women’s Day on 8th March by handing out roses to women in Whitley Bay, Tynemouth and North Shields. Our roses are an opportunity to recognise the many and varied roles women have across all aspects of our communities and to say thank you. They are also a reminder that there is still much work to do to ensure that rights, equality and empowerment are real for all women and girls. Our club will join Soroptimists across the world to campaign all year round for these aims.
