The earliest Friendship link we had was with the American club that presented the club with the Rose Bowl. Then followed SI Trieste in Italy. (Miss Maisie Starmer was our link member), then in the 1970’s followed SI Goldendale (Mrs Edna White was link member) and when I joined the club in 1978, Edna passed the job on to me. I continued in this roll for many years and it wasn’t until after Marjorie Blennerhassett and I were awarded a grant of Friendship to the North-West Americas in 1997 and we visited Goldendale that she then took over the link with them. Since then we have established links with SI Bourgas in Bulgaria, SI Bandon in Eire and SI DAF ( Dundas, Ancaster & Flamborough) in Ontario Canada.
