One of many of Enid’s 100th Birthday celebrations was spent with fellow Soroptimists at Ty Golchi on 17th September 2022.
The Afternoon Tea party was arranged by Olga and the cake made by Eirwen, a wonderful afternoon was spent with our sprightly centenarian! Such a wonderful inspiration to us all! .
Enid Griffith has been a member of SI Bangor & District since 1973 – a most remarkable lady. Enid was born in Carmel, Gwynedd and attended Llanrug School and Bangor School for Girls. She was a student at Bangor College during the war and her first teaching post was at the Manchester School for Girls. In the late 40s she returned to North Wales to a teaching post at the Bangor School for Girls and before retirement was Deputy Headmistress at Friars School Bangor.
