The President’s charities for this year were chosen amongst the groups.
Ieuan The Lion, who’s objective is to support families throughout Wales who are caring for a Terminally ill Child/Young Person. They have a mission to provide free holidays for the family.
Vale Plus supports adults with learning needs in Barry and Llantwit Major area of the Vale. We regularly take part in their quiz night fundraisers and have in the past donated £2000 towards their minibus.
Baby Basics is already supported by the club with donations of baby essentials. They help new mums who are struggling financially and emotionally. They give a moses bsket filled with everything a baby needs for the first few weeks. In cases of dire need they also give donated high hairs, cots, prams etc.
The President’s charities last year were Kidney Wales and the Transplant Ward at UHW. These charities were chosen as they were important to Val’s family The life of a family member was saved by these teams. Val was abe to present them with £2000
