Sophie Evans

Sophie Evans is a Welsh singer and actress from Tonypandy, South Wales.

She first came to national attention as the runner-up on the BBC’s Over the Rainbow in 2010, before making her West End debut as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz.

Sophie is best known for playing Glinda in Wicked, a role she performed more than 750 times at the Apollo Victoria, London. Alongside her theatre work, Sophie has appeared in concerts, television, and film, and recorded 3 albums. Sophie also performs with the Welsh supergroup ‘Welsh of the West End’.

Sophie is currently pursuing her presenting work alongside being a mother of two lovely boys.
