The Noah’s Ark Charity believes passionately that all children in Wales should get the best possible hospital care. Working with the NHS, it aims to provide the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales with state-of-the-art equipment, facilities and family support services helping to ensure the best treatment and outcomes possible for its young patients.
This means that children and families are at the heart of everything they do. They ensure that treatment and outcomes for children can continue to improve by funding new and innovative medical equipment and facilities. It supports children and families in the here and now through our emotional support service and the much-loved play specialist team and invests in the future by providing technology that helps train the bright clinicians of tomorrow. They also strive to make the hospital a less frightening and more familiar place for children by sprinkling a little fun and happiness into hospital days.
Though hospital admissions are often planned, many are not and, in these instances, families can often arrive on a ward with only the clothes they are wearing. Our emergency packs contain essentials like a clean t-shirt, toiletries, snacks and a water bottle, to help parents through those first 24 hours when all they can really think about is their child. Emergency items include:
Shampoo- Shower Gel
- Toothbrush
- Toothpaste
- Hand Cream
- Breakfast bars
- Packs of hair bobbles
- Combs/Hairbrushes
- Roll on Deodorant
- Ladies’ Sanitary products
Providing any of the above, will help make a real difference to the families of the 90,000 patients, visiting the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales every year.
So, we invite Conference attendees to bring along just one of the items listed above to donate to this brilliant charity.
The Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity will really appreciate your support and will be at Conference to collect your items.
