Dear Soroptimists from Great Britain and Ireland,

It is a pleasure to extend my greetings to everyone attending the SIGBI Conference in Cardiff. Returning to this wonderful city brings back special memories, as I attended the 2017 SIGBI Conference here during my early days as Federation President. It was an inspiring experience that first gave me a true sense of the friendship, commitment, and shared purpose that unite Soroptimists across this Federation.

This year’s theme, Inspire Women, Create Impact, captures the very essence of Soroptimism. Through our projects, advocacy, and support for women and girls, we create meaningful change in our communities and around the world. This conference also offers a valuable opportunity to introduce the new SI Focus Theme of Women’s Health, recognising that health, wellbeing, and education are fundamental for women and girls to thrive and realise their full potential.

Conferences such as this provide valuable opportunities to exchange ideas, celebrate achievements, renew friendships, and strengthen our shared mission. I wish you all a successful and inspiring conference in Cardiff.
