Members enjoyed a demonstration by well know local artist Joan Lyons at their dinner meeting at the Royal Agricultural University last week.
Joan is a member of the Society of Botanical Artists. Working in acrylics, a wonderful flower was brought to life through subtle cream paint on a black green background thus inspiring budding artists in the group.
Joan kindly donated one of her pictures which the Soroptimists will auction off at their next fund raising event. Joan also has a forth coming exhibition at the Vine National Trust property.
