International Women’s Day 2020

SI Crieff members invited friends and guests to join  them in Strathearn Arts on Monday evening, 9 March, to celebrate International Women’s Day.

Four girls from Morrison’s Academy each spoke about two women who had inspired them, Comrie Community Choir Earnsong returned from last year to entertain everyone with their lovely singing and Sally Paterson gave an amusing account of the different ages of women.

Keri Reid MBE from Muthill Primary School, was the key speaker and she spoke about the school’s partnership with the Juliet Johnston School in New Tafo, Ghana.  She was more than ably assisted by two young Muthill P.S. pupils who also treated everyone to an impromptu dance.   A joint  performance of The Global Goals Song by the two schools can be seen on YouTube – worth a watch!

Guests enjoyed a glass of wine or soft drinks along with a fabulous selection of nibbles most generously donated by Crieff Co-op who very kindly sponsored the evening through their Community Fund which was greatly appreciated.
