Along with a number of other local Soroptimist clubs, SI Glasgow City, took part in the recent What Women Do event located at The Lighthouse in Glasgow city centre on the 16th of September.
This event was a great opportunity to reach out to shoppers on a Saturday and tell them about the skills, professions and jobs practiced by women today in their every day working lives. It was also a perfect time to display information on the many programme action events our clubs are involved with and to get the word out about Soroptimism.
Along with a number of stalls focused on science, blacksmithing, arts, literature and charity work, SI Glasgow’s President Madeleine displayed items showing What Women Did which was a hit as she shared stories behind the mysterious implements and garments on show.
