Every year, the Scottish Women’s Convention hold an event to celebrate International Women’s Day. The events are normally held in the Debating Chamber of the Scottish Parliament at Holyrood, but of course for the last 2 years they were virtual events. They are popular events, so we were lucky enough to have 2 SI Glasgow City members get invitations to this year’s event when it returned to Holyrood. The theme this year was ‘Celebrating Women in Scotland’.
We were also able to include two of the interns from UN House Scotland, one of our partner organisations. They were delighted to meet the First Minister and the Presiding Officer.
