S I HIGH WYCOMBE DONATION TO HELP CHARITY

SI High Wycombe, represented by Sue Granshaw and Anne Lines present a cheque to Janie Grover of Street Dreams

Soroptimists of High Wycombe and District have donated a small cheque to Street Dreams to help them with purchasing replacement computers after theirs were stolen.   Street Dreams, which aims to help young people keep away from crime, lost their computers in a burglary at their premises at Out of the Dark in Oakridge Road.  Here they are taught creative and practical skills and the disadvantaged young people learn to become ready for jobs.

Soroptimist International of High Wycombe and District recently supported Street Dreams as their President’s charity of the year.  They saw the Star’s news item and quickly agreed that they should try to help the charity recover their losses.  They agreed that a small contribution towards getting new computer support was the least they could do.
