The Soroptimist International Jersey Inspirational Woman of the Year Award 2026 was presented to Barbara Corbett by SIJ President Debbie Taylor. Barbara was nominated for her work as a family lawyer who has helped drive some of the Island’s most significant family law reforms. The award caps more than a decade of efforts to modernise area of Jersey law. She was also recognised for the free legal support she provides to families who cannot afford represenation. 24 nominations were received this year, which is a new record.
