SI Leeds Celebrates Summer with Words, Music, History (not to mention Tea & Cakes) in Support of Kidz In Kampz

On Sunday 7th July, in glorious sunshine, SI Leeds President, Julie Widdowson, and SI Leeds member, Stella Way, hosted a ‘Words, Music and History’ event at Adel Church. The music recital and readings were preceded by a scrumptious afternoon treat of tea and cakes, followed by a stroll around the grounds of the historic Adel Church with the opportunity of completing an intriguing ‘treasure hunt’ quiz.  All proceeds from the event will be donated to Kidz in Kampz, a charity, which supports Burmese children who have been displaced by political and religious oppression and are now living in refugee camps in Thailand. Kidz in Kampz is currently the SI Leeds President’s charity.
