The 16 July was the Soroptimist Day of Action. The theme was ‘Reducing Use of Single-use plastic’ as part of action on climate change.
Stella and Jane Barnes were pleased to join other Friends of Rochester Churchfields Esplanade (FoRCE) volunteers to tidy up armed with litter pickers and black sacks. This litter pick was done around the sensory garden and outside the walls of Rochester Castle.
A total of 4 sacks of rubbish were collected by the volunteers. They were greeted by visitors and residents thanking them for their efforts as they went about the task.
