To mark International Women’s Day Medway and Maidstone Soroptimists got together in Rochester for a lunch. Everyone brought along food contributions and we heard from our members about inspirational women they admire.
We were joined by former local Medway councillor Pat Cooper who had been a past Woman in the Community Award winner for her Hillyfields project. She updated us on how the project has developed and been seen as a model to be replicated.
It was a great day organised by Wanda and enjoyed by everyone.
