Our first monthly speaker meeting went very well. We had a wonderful group of students, named Enactus, doing amazing job; helping women to achieve their potentials. We learnt that Enactus is an international non-profit organisation which aims to empower individuals to make opportunities into sustainable positive progress, for both themselves and the community through entrepreneurial-based projects. Their presentation was really exciting and was focussed on their three excellent projects currently being undertaken.
We had some guests, including, our guest speaker, for whom our Immediate Past President, Uzma Kazmi, had prepared a presentation about Soroptimism.
In short, it was a well-attended and well-received meeting. After both the presentations in the first hour of our meeting, we had time to socialise and learn about each other and Soroptimist.
Thanks to our President, Pauline Reed, for a good start to the year.

At our first monthly speaker meeting, we are having Enactus Teesside as a guest speaker. As May being the Soroptimist International Membership Month, our Immediate Past President, Uzma Kazmi, will be giving an overview of Soroptimism for those considering joining the Club.
