MK ACT is a charity in Milton Keynes which works with over 100 families’ every day to help them move on from fear and abuse. They have been providing safe emergency accommodation in Milton Keynes for people and their children escaping domestic violence for over 45 years. Domestic abuse occurs across society, regardless of age, gender, race, sexuality, wealth, and geography. MK Act offers help to anyone aged 16 years and up within Milton Keynes.
MK Act has two new job vacancies available.
Service Manager – to lead the Crisis Intervention Service and our Perpetrator Programme (Fresh Start). This post will be part of the Senior Management Team working across MK Act to continue to provide a high quality service, ensuring MK Act maintains its Leading Lights and RESPECT accreditations. This post is to lead, develop and support the Crisis Team and Fresh Start teams so that they are able to provide the best service for our clients. This post will be one of the safeguarding leads for the charity and will work closely with other agencies and stakeholders to ensure that the teams work in a multi-agency environment.
LGBTQ & Domestic Abuse Development Worker (1 year fixed term) – this is an exciting opportunity to work for MK Act to develop our response to LGBTQ+ victims of DA across the organisation. MK Act is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic development worker who is committed to partnership working with colleagues within MK-Act other agencies and engaging collaboratively with LGBTQ+ people, including young LGBTQ+ people aged 11-25. The role will include partnership working to create and deliver training and support services to address barriers to accessing support.
