On the 300th Anniversary of his birth, SI Members enjoyed an interesting talk from SIPT member Janner Herd about the life of Dr Richard Price, a philosopher, mathematician and political thinker whose ideas helped shape the modern world.
Price, from Llangeinor a small village in Bridgend, was a champion of liberty, reason and moral progress, and supported both the American and French Revolutions and was an early advocate for civil rights and pension reform. His work influenced major thinkers of his day and his legacy lives on.
Ask Janner about her interest in Dr Price, to link to relevance.
