President Shirley Whiteway: 2023 – 2024
The President’s chosen charity this year is The Salvation Army, Rhyl
A number of events including a garden party, cheese & wine evening and a concert, were planned to raise funds for this charity.
- The Concert on 1st December with Cor Meibion Trelawnyd Male Voice Choir, along with The Salvation Army Rhyl held at St. Margaret’s Church, Bodelwyddan resounded with music and song
- A donation was also made to: Papyrus UK

President Barbara Roberts: 2022 – 2023
The President’s chosen charity was North Wales Superkids.
A Bring & Buy Sale and an Afternoon Tea was organised which raised £1,200 to enable the charity to purchase Christmas presents for underprivileged children.
- A Cheese & Wine evening was also held in aid of Masaka Girls School Dormitory Project, Uganda
Donations have also been made to:
- North Wales Women’s Centre
- Turkey and Syrian Earthquake Appeal
- Rhyl Schools Feminine Hygiene Project
President Sylvia Bolshaw: 2021 – 2022
COVID 19 restrictions were beginning to be lifted and a number of fundraising events took place on behalf of the following charities
- Fish ‘n’ Chip Supper – Masaka Girls Dormitory School, Uganda
- Christmas Tree Festival – St Kentigerns Hospice,St.Asaph
- Coffee Morning – St Kentigerns Hospice, St. Asaph
- Open Garden – Daffodil Appeal Marie Curie
- Social at Rhuddlan Community Centre – Blood Bikes
Joint Presidents Susan Jones and Denise Owen – 2020 – 2021
Events during this period were curtailed due to COVID 19, but in between lockdowns members managed to raise funds to support the following charities
- An afternoon Tea and entertainment was organised on behalf of CLEFT International Projects
- A Garden Party was held in support of Ty Gobaith / Hope House Children’s Hospice
- During Covid lockdowns regular donations of “Goodie Bags” were delivered to the staff at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd
