Beneficiaries: 10 members of the Brasso Seco community
Our club identified the potential of a group of young individuals ranging in ages from 12-25 years from the rural community of Brasso Seco. We partnered with members of the community and the existing community Technology club to form the Brasso Seco Youth Mentorship programme aimed at delivering quality learning experiences using the online meeting platform Zoom. Expertise for this programme was sourced from within our club, as well as professionals who volunteered their services for free or for a nominal contribution. The programme ran for 8 weeks and consisted of 8 sessions discussing topics from cyber safety, financial planning, resume writing, job interview skills and developing entrepreneurial skills. It is our hope that the girls that attended the sessions would be equipped with skills to aid in their personal and professional development.
