On Saturday December 6th several members of SI Dundee marked UN Human Rights Day- Dec 10th- by raising awareness of modern day slavery.
On a damp winter’s day, nine ladies handed SI Modern Slavery leaflets to Christmas Shoppers in the Perth Road area and in Dundee City Centre.
Very few people refused to take the leaflets and there was no evidence that any were discarded.
The group was satisfied that they had raised awareness of modern slavery and the work of Soroptimists.
