On Tuesday 17 November, on Zoom at 7.30pm, Dr Clive Driscoll, Deputy Chair of True Honour, will be talking about Modern Day Slavery. He will be defining what slavery is today and in particular, how Lockdown has escalated the situation for many women including those affected by domestic slavery.
Dr Clive Driscoll became the first police officer to obtain a conviction in an Honour Based Violence murder where no body has ever been found. The Surjit Athwal murder has been described as a Landmark Case where a conviction was obtained against all odds.
