SI Epsom invite you to an update on ‘Modern Day Slavery’ with guest speaker Dr Clive Driscoll

On Tuesday 17 November, on Zoom at 7.30pm,   Dr Clive Driscoll, Deputy Chair of True Honour, will be talking about Modern Day Slavery. He will be defining what slavery is today and in particular, how Lockdown has escalated the situation  for many women including those affected by domestic slavery.

Dr Clive Driscoll  became the first police officer to obtain a conviction in an Honour Based Violence murder where no body has ever been found. The Surjit Athwal murder has been described as a Landmark Case where a conviction was obtained against all odds.

Please do feel free to join us, both Soroptimists and non Soroptimists for the first part of our Club meeting. Let us know on and we will send a Zoom link.

There is no cost but if people wish to make a donation to True Honour, a charity supporting  victims of  Honour Based Violence, Forced Marriage and FGM,  you can visit this website to find out more

Please do look out for online events hosted by SI Epsom & District.  If you would like us to send you details about events,  please email with your name and contact details.
