Regional President Charity One member, Joyce Chesney, had to cancel a fund raising afternoon tea during her year as regional president. A recent regional raffle enabled her to present a cheque for £600 to Butterwick Hospice Care on behalf of Stockton on Tees and the Northern Region. The money raised will be used for specialist mattresses at the Hospice, where Joyce is a regular volunteer.

Stockton and Billingham Food Bank Pre-pandemic we regularly supplied sanitary items to the food bank. Currently, every two months, the club donates non-perishable food items, toiletries, cleaning products, sanitary items. We have also supplied clothing or bedding in good condition. The demand on the food bank has grown greatly during this year.

The Rainbow Room was set up at our local NHS trust hospital. It is a room where staff can take a break and relax. Every two months we provide “luxury” items such as toiletries, speciality teas and coffees, chocolates and biscuits.
