Members enjoyed a regional program action day. The speakers were Sue Willoughby of ‘A Way Out’ and Asmar Shaffi of ‘The Halo Project’.

At our June meeting membership officer, Liz Wood, welcomed Anne Donald as a member of our club. 

  President Elect Maureen Scott presents Gail Walker of Teesside Dementia Link Services with a cheque for £1116. The money was raised at our “Coffee and Cakes and Shopping Mistakes” event in April.

Our President Elect, Maureen Scott, introduced John Kingsbury from Home Instead. He gave a very interesting talk about protecting people from fraud.

Some members visited the statue of Molly in Sunderland. We met with members from the Sunderland club which had been instrumental in erecting the statue to commemorate the work of women in the shipyards during the war. Afterwards we enjoyed coffee and scones in the  cafe at the National Glass Centre.
