Nicola Wells gave us a very interesting and enlightening talk about the charity Safe Families. We learned how volunteers helped to make a difference to families who may be overwhelmed by circumstances. Our member Maureen Scott chaired the meeting.

Six new start bags, plus some emergency food supplies were handed over to DC Ian Clyburn from Cleveland Police. The bags will be used for victims of trafficking.
Our speaker, Alan Chandler from Macmillan Cancer Support, was introduced by our member Val Tait. Alan gave us an interesting summary of their work at North Tees and Hartlepool hospitals.

Neil Craig from Teesside Samaritans gave us a very interesting talk on the work of the volunteers. The meeting was chaired by Sue Moppett.
