Devon Freewheelers

Our first meeting after the summer break started with a very interesting talk by Kevin Balding who told us about the work done by the Devon Freewheelers; a team of 50 volunteer Emergency Vehicle drivers who are dedicated to providing a weekday out of hours service (17.00 – 06.00) and 24/7 weekend service supporting the NHS in delivering essential Blood, Samples, Medication and Donor Breast Milk to hospitals throughout Devon. The photo shows Diane Hill presenting Kevin with a cheque from SI Tiverton and District which was added to by donations from those attending the meeting to total £77.50.
